Bus Transportation:
Greyhound bus tickets to Detroit may be purchased in advance for less at www.greyhound.com/.

Train Transportation:
There are several train stations in the Detroit metro area (plus Toledo, Ohio and Windsor, Ontario.) Not all routes connect to the downtown station, but all stations are near bus routes to downtown Detroit.
The Detroit People Mover automated light rail system circulates the downtown area, making stops at stations every few minutes. Cost of the ride is $.50 in U.S. coins or you may buy tokens. Accessibility info below.
Airport:
Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is 25 minutes from the Detroit Marriott. Ground Transportation and Transportation Otherwise: Follow the link for info and pricing on transportation options.
Driving:
Parking is available at garages near the hotel for about $5.00 per day.
Passport:
For travel to and from Canada by car you need only a Michigan state photo ID. If you are from outside of Michigan, a passport is recommended to be on the safe side.
Note for people with disabilities:
Detroit’s local bus service is DDOT www.detroitmi.gov/ddot/ (/ada/specialfares/index.html) and SMART (www.smartbus.org/smart/Home) and both offer visitors reduced fares when arranged for in advance of your arrival in Detroit.
Accessible taxis are in very short supply and must be reserved in advance - call 800-351-5466.
Accessible rental cars and scooter or wheelchair rental are available through Scootaround. www.scootaround.com.
People Mover vehicles and stations (with the exception of the Grand Circus Park station, which is stairway only) are handicapped accessible and each vehicle has two wheelchair securement positions.
